What the? Empty! Damn you!

Gives me the following error message, but I can't find any such file in the trash.

*Grin* I would love to delete 'Windows' as well. . . .

You could try to force empty the trash (if you haven't already tried)

"If an item in the Trash is locked, press the Option and Shift keys when you choose Empty Trash to delete it." (apple help)

I'm not sure if it will work on 'hidden' files, but it is worth a try.

Edit: Are you running Virtual PC by the way?

Thanks.

I figured out the problem though. "Windows" was a subdirectory in a folder that was in the trash. That's why it didn't catch my eye offhand.

Search Versiontracker for an app called "Trash It." There are many ways to delete a file that doesn't want to get deleted but Trash It is a quick and easy way to do it.
