i have a jailbroken 1.1.3 iphone and have 9 apps installed not including the installer and now it will no longer let me install apps. why is this?? it still has over 3 gigs of space according to itunes. why will it not install? it lets me choose install, appears to install, but when returning to home screen it is not there and shows to not be installed in installer.app. what is the deal here? if i uninstall something, it will then let me install something else.

is it that nobody knows or its too stupid a question to answer?

It is a pretty common question but here's the answer. The iPhone memory is split into 2 partitions. For a reason that isn't completely understood yet, the 1.1.3 jailbreak takes up a lot of space on the system partition where the Applications folder lives which leaves little room for more 3rd party apps.

A program called BossTool from the BigBoss source can move the Apps folder to the media partition and create a link to the system partition fooling the phone into thinking it's still in the same place.
