Hi... I am confused about creating a link to a document on the server. It's a Windows server, but the directory\doc are all full access for everyone.... I am not too familiar with Macs. Obviously works just fine ont the PC link as it's just pointing to a mapped drive, but it doesn't work on the Mac.
If I connect to that server, the link works, it points to that directory and opens the file.. but when i disconnect the server, the link dies. And if I change the path from the original link and enter the sever path manually, it opens up the directory, not the file within the directory.
What's the right format to type in for the path? with UNC it's \\windowsserver\directory\filename
with MacOS, it //filename/directory/filename? or at least that's how i thought it should be...
Def need help on this. frustrated for two days trying to figure this out...
