Word Formatting Palette refuses to show itself

I use the format palette all the time. Somehow, it's disappeared now, and every time I use the correct instructions to get it back (view palette, etc) it doesn't come out. I see something flashing across the screen, almost as if it is hiding from me, but I can't get it back. Anyone ever go through this? Thanks.

This should be in the Mac Applications grouping, not here.

If you're talking about Mac Office, delete the Word plist.

I have the same problem with my formatting palatte.

i have a similar problem regarding the formatting palette.

When i open word:mac 2008 up it hides the "standard" tool bar, so every time i open it up i have to do thi procedure:

view/toolbars/ check reviwing

view/toolbars/ uncheck reviewing

and then the standard tool bar will appear even though it was always checked in the first place...
