I’m gutted. I was excited to upgrade to the larger size from a 10.5”. I got everything set up and then I realized:

There is no split keyboard support on the 12.9" models.

I do a lot of writing on my iPad and a split keyboard is essential. Apple’s greed has no bounds. I will not be buying a $200 keyboard folio, so I guess this is getting returned for an 11”.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I saw a post here this morning from someone with an 11" saying they were not seeing the split keyboard either.

I have a 2nd gen 12.9 and it has never allowed for split keyboard. I’m assuming 1st gen didn’t either.

But I’m confused, maybe my hands are small or yours are giant but why do you need split keyboard? The whole point (at least for me) going to the 12.9 was to have a full size virtual keyboard. I use this way more than the physical keyboard in all honesty.

I like to type while holding the iPad and the split keyboard is easier to reach some keys.

Oddly the 12.9" iPad Pro never got the split keyboard option. And even more strangely now the 11" has lost that feature as well.

When I used the 9.7" Pro for a year I would frequently use that keyboard for typing.
