behind you!
Can the iphone run word/ppt/ or excel on it??
be able to veiw and edit and create documents?
if not is the app for it?

You can view but not edit or save them.

Wait- i know you can view doc and pdf files on safari. But you are telling me that you can view ppt files and spreadsheet files on safari as well?

How about files made in Pages or Keynote? Has anyone tried this on the iPhone?

for some weird reason pages and keynote don't work... i think

One other option is to run one of the VNC or Remote Desktop apps (about a dozen different ones in the App store) on your iPhone, and remote view your PC/Mac to see and edit the files.

I use NetPortal to view office docs. You can't edit them, but you can get to file shares on servers over VPN and WiFi (i.e while out of the office).
