I am using MS Office 2004, on a G4 iBook, For some reason whenever I type quotation marks around some words, the first set of quotation marks drop into subscript. First it shows up where its supposed to, then just magically flips down below the line... What's up with this and how do I fix it?

Try adjusting the Language. Select the text and then go to tools>language, and change it English (or whatever you want). I know that if the language is set to German, the quotation marks behave as you describe.
