Word v.X problem- footers

I've got a document that uses footers. It works fine in Word for Windows. When I try to print it using Word X, the footer is cut in half (only the top half prints). I've tried adjusting the bottom margin, but no matter how up the footer is on the page, I get the same problem. I know the printer can print in this area because the original (Word for Windows) does it just fine.

I then re-created the document from scratch. Every time I try to print a footer, I get this same thing. When I do a print preview, I can even see the footer will be cut off.

I'm missing something here. Can anyone help me out?
