Hi all. So I've decided to pursue a living on my MacBook and lordy is there a lot to learn. At present I'm trying to switch out one line of code on thousands of web pages. To this effect I either load the page into an editor at HostMonster or open ONE page at a time in WordWrangler. This will take forever. How do I open all the pages at once and search/replace? Any info will be much loved.
Oh. And any info about getting all the pages online at aforesaid server. Everything went smooth with Cyberduck but now they just sit there in folders and I do not know what to do. The snarky kid on the helpline mentioned indexing. Where? On what? Thanks again!

Did you mean TextWrangler? Because if you download TextWrangler (free), open the Find… dialog and check the Multi-File Search box, you can easily search and replace in multiple files. TextWrangler is a great tool to have around for many text related things.

Right; TEXTwrangler

Anywho, followed your instructions (gracias) and here's how it went. Please let me know if this procedure can be improved upon.
Opened file, copied everything, drug it into the wrangler, performed said find/replace, clicked a drop-down many, many times when it asked to save file(s). Went fairly quick but I wonder if there isn't a better way. Why can't I drag an entire folder (and its contents) into the thing? And what's with all the permission slips? Setting for that somewhere?

Appreciate the help! Any feedback on getting my sites up in the hostmonster file manager?
