Work and home usage - one or multiple Accounts best?

I have been a home iMac user (and iOS user) for well over a decade. But I’m about to get my first work Mac. Assuming it is up to me (and not company policy), is it best to use one Apple/iCloud account across both regimes (home/work) or is the better course to keep them separate? Using the same one obviously has the advantage of being able to share notes/reminders/logins etc. between both worlds. “Separate” obviously has the benefit of keeping my personal stuff off a work-owned machine.

What’s the best practice here?

Personally, I use one icloud account for both (i'm responsible if the laptop goes missing, so since they haven't taken any steps to really protect it beyond making me sign a piece of paper to that effect I'm damn well turning on find my mac!)

I enabled keychain, find my mac... and that's it. Everything else is turned off. Handoff and continuity works fine in this setup.

I don't, though you could easily enable it while keeping everything else disabled.

Personally I keep my work Mac and my home Mac completely separate. I don’t want any crossover. When I’m working I’m not using iMessage and the like. I haven’t the time.

The best policy is to keep your "work" and "personal" computers COMPLETELY SEPARATED.

Since you have a home Mac, and will soon have a work Mac, I suggest you keep them "separated".
