hello guys,
i live in Sydney and have been an avid apple user since the past 3 years now.
i live a 5 minutes walk from the apple store.. i am in uni and 19 years old..
so i am thinking of applying there for a Concierge or a Specialist
i would like to know what previous experience they are looking for and whats the pay like?

From past encounters in different parts of the US . . . the qualification level does not appear to be set very high, nor deep.

Does anyone have any insight into how long those t-shirted, badge wearing employees stay employed?

Apple is not known for much turnover.

Are you refering to the Cuppertino campus or the retail stores . . . since there appears to be average, if not higher than average, employee turnover in the Apple stores locally. $12/Hr (I presume no sales commissions or sales bonuses) may do it for part time college students, but a career path?

Look at the link above, you are wrong about both. Seasonal employees – yes, but for the most part it's not so seasonal.
