hey,
I have an S9 for work.
One thing that is baffling is the unlocking process.
Face and iris are registered, pattern has been set and finger print turned on.
Now with the max I raise and it unlocks.
For the life of me I can’t figure out how the S9 unlocks quickly. It seems I have to press a button to wake the phone up.
Any help would be great.

This is my first android and my opinion is the extra setting features are nice.
I like the phone.
By are viable platforms. I could live with either.

Is your S9 using Pie One UI already?
Touching the fingerprint sensor with the screen off should unlocks the phone automatically and brings you the home screen.
If you want a similar raise to wake feature like the iPhone, go to settings, Advanced features, Motion and gestures, the. Turn on Lift to wake.

Source: my Samsung Galaxy A8 running pie One UI.

The fingerprint on the back should work 99% of the time. I would set up intelligent scan (combines Iris scanning and face unlock) as the iris scanner on its own can be quite finicky. As Pika said enable raise to wake and you’ll be good to go.
