Can anyone recommend me a confirmed working Bluetooth dongle for MacOS 12.1? I have a UB400, but that's dead in the water now (and no, none of the kext files helped).

I'm looking for an off the shelf dongle that works with 12.1.

Thanks!

Are we really saying that there isn’t a single working BT dongle for Monterey?!

I don't know why! But I don't think that BT400 will work on Monterey properly, cause I had one and I failed to set up with Monterey.

You can try this one, which I'm using now after failing to use BT400 https://hideez.com/products/hideez-dongle

If you see any problem to set up on Monterey, follow the setup instructions of Hideez. It will be more easy for you.

Do you know any way to get the usb-Bluetooth adapter TP-Link UB400 running on a MacBook 5,1 (13” Aluminium unibody late 2008 - running Catalina thanks to the Dosdude1 Patcher)?
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/adapter/ub400/

I tried using the bluetooth explorer App. I can see the dongle is recognised and can be set Active but I could not pair any Bluetooth device even if those were attempting to connect.

Thanks for your help.

MacBook (13-inch, Aluminium, Unibody Late 2008) | 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo | 8Go 1067MHz DDR3 | NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 Mo
Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2026) via a) CatalinaOTAswufix, b) USBOpenCoreAPFSloader3, c) dosdude1 patcher 1.4.4 and d) SilentKnight 1.21

2008 MacBook had bluetooth builtin 2.1+EDR. What device would need the 4.0 specifically?
