Every time I open the workout app on my series 2 watch, the app stays frozen for about 8 - 10 seconds before I can interact with it. I can't scroll or start a new workout or anything for this period, but everything starts working normally again if I wait it out. Has anyone else seen this happen? If yes, is there a fix?

Same story here.

Sucks ass. Thanks apple for the crap OS upgrade.

Tried resetting watch "as new" and the problem persists.

I had the same issue with Series 0 watch.

I would open up the app and it would just freeze for a while before being able to select a workout.

What I've tried and it seemed to help quite a bit is to open the Watch app on the phone, scroll all the way down and click on "Workout". Next turn off "Detect Gym Equipment".

I've restarted my watch a few times to test and after the initial loading of the workout app, I am able to scroll and select a workout right away.

I'm guessing the app "freezing" is because the watch is searching for any gym equipment to connect to. Either way, turning off this setting has made the app more usable for me.

Mine used to work great on the series 2. Over the last few weeks it's doing the same thing!

It appears to be a wOS4.2 issue since it happens on my S0 and S3. Probably will be addressed in the next update. On my S0 it takes over 5 seconds and on my S3 about 3 seconds.

Thank you - this appears to have helped on my S0. Will see if it continues to work but for the past two days it has been much faster to select a workout.
