Really confused why I can no longer see my route for workouts. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Used to work absolutely fine prior to WatchOS11.

This is the third or 4th time it’s happened. I just get this: IMG_6657.png

The stats are all there, but it’s like it hasn’t been tracking the route, yet it’s able to tell me (accurately) how far I’ve cycled. How can it tell me distance, without showing me that distance on a map?

Doesn't really help you but working fine here for both outdoor cycle and outdoor walk workout types.

If you've not done a full reboot (not reset) of both watch and phone, it'd be worth trying.

I’ll try force restart yeah. Thanks

I've had a couple trail runs recently that weren't recorded with the GPS, and I think it was because of battery; it's also gotten quite cold here, so battery life is even shorter. If battery was >40% when I started, it wouldn't record. What watch and health? I have a s6 with 77%.

Turned of photo syncing which put my battery life back to what it was on watchOS 10, plus I now cover my watch with a sweatband when running to keep it warm. It's recording again.

I’ll share an unpopular opinion: I faced the same issue. It felt like a lottery, with about 10+% of my runs affected.

One fix I tried was launching the Maps app before starting a run, which seemed to help. Another workaround is using Workoutdoors, as it displays GPS lock status.

Finally, I got tired of these random issues and switched to Garmin FR955 (for sports only; in everyday life I wear AW). Problem solved.
