I've had little success with WoW BC in Windows. I have the current Direct X 9.0c, the ATI Drivers and ATI Catalyst software. Using ATI Tool 0.26 I was able to get the core and memory clock stable at 470/470. Yet I only get 18-26 FPS with everything turned on. This is disappointing... I've heard from everyone else that XP beats the pants of OS-X when it comes to gaming and Direct X. World of Warcraft sucks in Windows. I even reinstalled the Bootcamp drivers for the X1600 and the results dropped. So is it a conspiracy that windows gaming is better?

Is there any way to overclock the X1600 to X1850M GT stats in OS-X? It's possible in Windows but is it possible in OS-X? Or is it possible to update EFI to maintain the settings when booting back to OS-X? I get 56-90 FPS with everything turned on in WoW BC in OS-X. What's going on? Where is the monumental gains? Twice the speed in windows, maximum AAX6! It's a false statement... OS-X rules for World of Warcraft over the exact same machine running in boot camp with everything set up with the most recent drivers. What gives?

Let me know any results or sites (Bear Feats seems to think Windows does a better job... How? How does it do a better job?)

Blimey. What spec is your machine to get 56+ FPS in WoW with everything turned on?

Inside, sure, I get rates like that, but outside, it drops to 30ish.

Got a 20" iMac Core 2 Duo, running at 2.16GHz, 2 Gigs of RAM and the upgraded card at 256MB.

Running at the native resolution and 2x AA.

I would also like to know how to overclock it.

It's the machine in my signature. Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz 2 GB RAM X1600 with 256MB Video. I turn off vertical sync, otherwise I get 30-60 FPS. Turning it off improves performance on a flat panel. Unless you see massive tearing, it's not an issue.

I have it on 6x AA. In windows, I just get horrid 18-24 FPS sometimes dropping to 5.1... It looks more shiney perhaps but otherwise it sucks.

Do you have 6x AA on Mac OSX and these numbers or just AA on win?

Will a future update to ATIccelerator II support the X1600? And why doesn't ATITool 0.26 work to give the X1600 a boost in Windows? I get much better framerates in OS-X than I do in Windows. I would much rather delete my bootcamp partition than keep it around if there is no advantage of booting into Windows for World of Warcraft.
