Going back a few weeks, we had given our web key to our tenant so he would have a connection to surf the internet and what not because he would only be staying for a couple of months. It would make sense to let him use our connection rather than have him set one up himself if he was only going to be with us for a short period of time. Once he had gotten on, we started noticing high ping in World of Warcraft every time he connected. Obviously, we figured he was downloading or doing something that was using up quite a bit of bandwidth. One night, during a raid, I was experiencing extremely high ping, and I had noticed he was connected - I was extremely fed up with the fact that whatever he was doing was affecting my connection so extremely. Anyway, long-story short, I reset the router, not knowing it would reset the name and web key (I'm not overly savvy with computers and routers and what not). After resetting it, and putting the password back on, we're now experiencing extremely high ms in-game, anywhere from 300-1500 as well as consistent disconnects on a wireless connection. I really have no idea what to do, everything I've looked at says "NEW ROUTER TIME, YOU CAN'T FIX PING" but I'm assuming it's not an issue specifically with my router because of the fact that I was getting 30-90ms pre-reset.

Any ideas? I'm seriously stumped.
And with any suggestions or solutions, please spell them out for me like I've never seen a computer before, thanks in advance.
