World of Warcraft on base mac mini?

i played wow on my eMac 1.42 , 2gb ram ,64mb vram
and i average about 27fps
so playing experience is acceptable

What fps did you get with this? Im thinking of posibly even getting a 1.5ghz mac mini with 1 gb of ram
and at this stage i run it a all settings low and im fine with that
Probably around the mid 20's in the starting zones. You've gotta understand, this was before they raised the requirements and WoW would still run on a G4 with that little RAM. The mini also had a dedicated graphics card, which helped a lot I'm sure of.
Now a days, as long as you can give your mini 2gb of RAM, it'll be OK for general questing, but not really good for 10 or 25 man raids. That's with the settings all the way down, so it won't look very pretty, and the 9400m. The older mini's have an x3100 or even a 950, which will be even worse.
If you're looking to switch to a mac, and continue playing WOW, you'll want to look at something with a dedicated video card. a used iMac with the ATI x1900 or 2400HD will run WOW fine on medium settings, and probably aren't much more expensive than a new mini. Otherwise, you might as well as stick in the Windows world, since Apple's are so graphically underpowered, for what you pay.
I have the 2.26 base model and am running WoW at 1366x768 with around 40fps outside 60+ indoors. I tweaked a few settings but mostly things are on high and vsync enabled to stop tearing.
How? I have a 2.16 c2d Macbook Pro with more RAM and the x1600 in it, which is about on par with the 9400m, and it gets more like 20-40 fps...
I get 30+ fps 90% of the time with all settings on highest minus anistropic filtering at 1280x800. My MBP has the same specs as the mini you are looking at.
When I get back to my mini tomorrow ill post some screens of my settings for you, try them see if you get an fps increase.
I'm sure some of it has to do with 677 MHz DDR2 vs 1066MHz DDR3.
The x1600 is dedicated but the 9400m is really good for an internal.
