This is kind of a big concern for me. My Macbook Pro's fans make a very distinct humming/buzzing noise coming from the fans. It's motor noises. I've used a previous revision Macbook Pro and it didn't make this sound. I assume that Apple changed the fans for the Santa Rosa revision? It's annoying. My 12" Powerbook G4 sitting next to it doesn't produce as much noise idle. Any insight as to whether this is "normal" behavior would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Well, I have returned one MBP because the right fan made a strange noise. Like something resonating, because when i pushed some keys above the fan the sound was partly gone.

The stupid thing is, my replacement had the same issue.
Only the right fan is behaving stupid. And the to fans are identical.

So i'm thinking about replacing again (last time). Also having the 1/3 yellowing.

MBP 2.2 160 gb 5400 rpm

Here's one with a little noise. Didn't have that in the beginning and I'm thinking of taking it to the Apple Store. The problem is that this is on of the few MBP SR without a yellowing issue so I'm worried about the replacement they will give me...
