Hi I just bought my first 27" imac 2 months ago. Now I see the new omes have come out. I just called my apple store and they said I could exchange it for the new one for only the restocking fee of $190., is it worth it???? Or should I just keep the 2 month old one???

Thanks!!

What 27" do you have? What 27" would you get? If you have the quad core 27", then it ain't but if it's the C2D, then it is

What are your needs? Do you think your daily routine using Mac OS X would improve using a faster computer (193MHz faster CPU)?*

* if you have the i7 iMac, maybe you have one of the other models...

Depends on what you do. The new one has 133MHz faster CPU but we don't know how much faster the GPU is so in a nut shell, unless you're a gamer, it's not worth it

Even if you are a gamer, is it really worth the hassle for a few extra frames per second?

If upgrading from 4850 -> 5750, I don't think it is worth it. Unless you bought it yesterday.

For some people those few extra frames matter :p The VRAM should help a little but it's not a major upgrade, we have to wait till benches though
