I have an opportunity to buy an iPad Pro 9.7" 128gb with Apple Pencil for $260 - is it worth it?

I am currently using an iPad Mini 4. I would like to have the better screen, more power, the better speakers, and the Apple pencil.

My concern is the 9.7" Pro only has 2gb of RAM, which will limit this going forward for updates and operating system response.

I’d say it’s defintiely worth it. The pencil is a big bonus if you think you’ll use it. How’re you getting such a good deal?

Yes, the RAM is definitely it’s biggest limitation but considering the price you’re paying I wouldn’t think twice about buying if I didn’t already have my 10.5.

A local person on my FB marketplace is selling it.

I could probably sell my iPad Mini 4 for at least half that cost, so the final cost would be even less.

The 9.7 and 10.5 pros are fantastic buys right now and it’s only going to get better after this new update drops. Depending on what people think of this rumored update coming soon the older models might even be more sought after soon (similar to the 2016 mbp update). I say go for it.

Normally I’d wait another week but at that price? Go for it.

I bought the iPad from the seller. It’s in great condition. I’m still getting use to the larger screen: I really love the iPad mini for portability and one handle holding while I read. But the better display and speakers on the Pro are fantastic. I definitely notice the processor speed too.

i agree too. But I’m not the type that buys the latest version, I want to save money so I buy devices that are a year or so old each time I upgrade. So whatever they announce next week won’t influence my decision. I didn’t see this deal dropping much if any after the announcement.

The 9.7 Pro still performs optimally. And what I like about it over the 2018 iPad, is that includes true tone, the laminated display and quad speakers, all three really nice advantages to have.

That was actually my question , what it offered over the 329. That’s quite a bit. Great deal. Enjoy.

Yeah and a9x
Is pretty close to a10 so I think the 9.7 Pro has a lot of value

Only question is will Apple support it for as long as the 329 iPad, long term, or will they abandon it?

iOS 12 is amazing on my 10.5. I have no interest in upgrading. The device is perfect for my needs and the bezel size doesn’t bother me one bit.
