Just updated my 8th gen iPad to iPadOS 17 - so far I really like it. Has me wondering if going from IOS 15 to 17 is worth it? I'm not a heavy phone (13) user - getting about 5 days between charges. IOS 15 has been good thus far - but was wondering how robust/reliable IOS 17 is for users with 13's.

There a few features of 17 I like - but they're not worth it if 17 has issues for 13 phones.

Thanks

There’s nothing like the original version of iOS, I’d keep it on iOS 15. This is coming from a user flawlessly running iOS 12 on my iPhone Xʀ.

Absolutely,go for it, iOS 17 is stable enough on most devices. Funny enough it seems to be mostly issues with the later models that was released.
Not sure if you are using the same iCloud account on all your devices and share services such as iMessage and FaceTime, if you do that’s another reason to update so that all devices are running the same version.

I’m currently pushing out iOS 17 within the company, with a mix of devices, SE2; SE3, 11,13 and 14.
We don’t have that many of the 13 but id say a handful are using iOS 17 at the moment and haven’t heard anything negative other than a few bugs related to update issues, but that could be MS issues.

I recently updated my private phone, 13 pro, from 16.7.2 and while I haven’t been commuting as much as I normally do 17.1.1 seem to be a slight improvement in terms of battery performance. But, havin said that, I have mostly been using wifi and not as much 5G as I normally do, so my opinion regarding battery might change.

Better to Stay in 15. I have compared two iphone 13, one stays at 15 and the other one updated to 17.
The one with the ios 17 HEATS UP easily, even just doing basic tasks like youtube and whatsapp.
