I primarily use my iPad for:

1) Word processing/excel/typing documents
2) Signing and filling documents with Apple pencil
3) Web browsing
4) Youtube/Netflix and listening to music.
5) Very Rarely gaming (have my iPad linked with stadia and apple Arcade).

So fair I am satisfied with my iPad Air 4 but I was wondering if it would be worth it for me to upgrade my iPad Air 4 to an iPad Pro M1? Will I notice any differences besides the slimmer bezels and quicker display rate?

The audio will also be an improvement! If you could see yourself keeping this iPad for a long time, I would get the M1 as it’s hella future proofed.

Unless you really want the 120hz display I would say a firm no, not worth it. The truth is that your workflow would be perfectly fine even on the base iPad. Use your Air 4 until it no longer does what you want, which should be many many years away.

If you find yourself using iPad a lot, upgrade, otherwise, no.
I use my iPad a lot, so much so that I often forget to bring my phone with me while I am out (I do have Apple Watch for short phone call though). So, I delve in and get iPad Pro.

That stuff is just going to be marginally better. It's not going to be some huge night and day difference. The iPad Air 4 is already far more than capable of performing all those tasks. I certainly couldn't see making the move. I'd want to wait two or three years for an appreciable upgrade.

Depends on whether you are swimming in money or not. If money means anything to you, no, it's not worth it.

Is your Air 4 your only device, or do you have also Mac? I have an Air 4 and similar usage and wouldn’t consider the added expense (including higher Applecare+) of the iPP to be worth it.

There’s a big difference between want and need, I doubt that many of the people who buy M1 IPPs actually NEED that level of power in a mobile device. But if you want it and can afford it go ahead and buy it. Personally I’m still using a 6th gen which suits my needs perfectly but when the time comes to upgrade I’ve no idea which I will choose, depends on whether or not I feel flush.

I'd save your money and just wait until the iPad Air 4 goes out of date. It is plenty capable for what you are doing, so I don't think that you need the M1 for the performance.

If I ever had iPad Air 4 (or any prior iPad Pro with the new design) I’d never need to upgrade to M1 Pro, if that answers your question.

Can't go wrong with either, but iPad Pro 12.9" will be so future proof, you probably don't need to upgrade for many years.
