Hi guys just wandered over here from the 15" pro forum where i spent loads of time reading and learning about the i7 macs. I bought a 15" pro (2.2) and had to return it 8 days later due to multiple kernel panics.

I have missed the mac and began looking at a more portable option than the 15 i originally bought.

I just came across a jan purchase used mac air 13, ultimate(4gb ram, 256 ssd) as aell as an included superdrive and all of the video connectors and ehernet connector. NO applecare included.
We have agreed on a 1500 price, but i have yet to inspect the computer in person. Oh ya the comp comes loaded with basically every preinstalled software option on the apple website.
I means sounds toooo good to be true right?

Also I hope i dont miss the lighted keyboard and the nice touch of the 15's keyboard. The 15's keyboard felt alot different compared to the 13's in the store.
Any thoughts? Joe

Honestly, keep the Air if it's good. 1500 isn't a bad price since that's close to what you'll get a refurb for... and software honestly isn't worth much just pre-installed. By "NO applecare included" you must mean that it doesn't have an extended AppleCare, right? All the new MBA models should still be in the 1 year.. if there's no AppleCare at all, you should check that out some more; could have water damage or something.

I don't use the lighted keyboard on my MacBook Pro 15" hardly at all as it is, even in the dark; I've just memorized the keys that well, I suppose. It could also be that I had an old BlackBook, that didn't have a lit up keyboard... meh.

Assuming it's legit it sounds like a good deal. I just sold a MacBook Air 13" Ultimate for about the same (but without the Superdrive).
