I bought a basic iPad (2017 version) a few months ago. Had no idea that they'd be putting out new iPad's already. I expected them to be out in the fall. Would it be worth the upgrade from the one I have now? I'm a grad student and use mine a lot for my books. I could see myself highlighting, writing and using the markup tool when I'm on my clinical rotations from August till May (Physical Therapy student), so that is very appealing to me. I just don't know if it's worth the $400 upgrade.

Thanks!

If you'll be utilizing the Apple Pencil a lot then it should justify the upgrade.

Yeah, I had been going back and forth on it. The fact that iOS 11 is such a big jump makes me excited. What are the normal education bonuses they give for iPads? Gift cards?
