When I got my new S6 Watch and started using it, I noticed that I can no longer control my HomeKit devices with it. I get the same problem whether trying to use the Home app or Siri.

The app tells me ‘10 devices not responding’ on the Watch, but things look fine on my iPhone and iPad (and I can control my stuff via them and even my HomePods). Siri works on every other device!

I’ve tried un-pairing and re-pairing the Watch to no avail.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No problem on my s4. Same software version. It just take a slight moment to update their status first and there is also slight reaction delay.

Thanks for the replies, I’ve raised a bug with Apple.

I might try re-creating the watch from fresh to see if that helps.

Make sure your watch is on the same WiFi network as your devices. If you have an Apple TV or an iPad designated as a HomeKit hub this might not matter but I’d just make sure everything is the same for troubleshooting the problem.

Figured it out (kind of). I have six HomePods and three ATVs so there are lots of options for a hub on my network. The active hub was off on a leg of the network for some reason, and not on the latest version of tvOS. So I upgraded that ATV, and the one closest to my Hue bridge, and the ATV nearest the bridge picked up HomeKit hub duties. That fixed the issue.

It’s not clear whether it was an issue with tvOS version or something to do with network comms that was the root of the problem.
