Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is a CA-only promotion or if it's nation-wide, but at 711 they are accepting pre-orders for a lot of new games, one of them being Wrath of the Lich King. Turns out they have it in stock, and a lot of these guys don't know that they shouldn't be selling it until Thursday. I picked up my copy this morning so I could install and log on right when it goes live. Try it out!

Drats..

I called a local one and they were a little wiser. Said I could pre-order but couldn't pick up yet. :(

Sweet, any warriors to get ready for death knights?

I work at a gamestore in the netherlands and we got WOTLK in 2 days ago.
Collector's edition looks way hot. I picked up a copy for myself already (Employee, woot.) but I'm not installing it yet.

Would not do any good to install it yet anyway, wont be able to access any of the new content and account can not be upgraded either, which is done through the wow web site.

Not quite true, as the install will take around an hour or so. You can install it, use the patches that you have from your WoW folder to repatch back to 3.0.3, and then when Thursday rolls around, run over to Account Management, type in your product key, and then hop in!

Man you're so lucky! you're going to be just ready to go to Northrend as soon as the expansion goes live!

In the other hand, I dont know when I'm going to hit northrend, I live in South America and here in my country there's not retailers that sell the game. I already buy the box in US and a friend will send me the key to upgrade my account, but I dont have the DVD to install the game.

The game is out in a lot of countries, and the DVD is already online for download on third party servers, I already download one trying to have the DVD the launch day, but when I finished the download I discover that the DVD just have the windows files, but not the installer for MAC OSX :(.

If any mac-friend here could help me and send me the MAC OS X installer for the expansion I would be gratefull for all my life.

Well, see you guys in northrend (I dont know when tough).

PD: Sorry for my crapy english, its my second language.

Yes!!

Went to a 7-Eleven close to work this morning and I was able to pick one up. Now it sits here torturing me to install. I popped it into my laptop just to see the install screen.. sigh.. midnight can't come soon enough. :D:D

Nice got a pic from a store employee. :D

I was more looking for pics at home, next to computer type of thing. I can google that pic or get a buddy from a store to take a pic for me as well. Doesn't matter now since it goes on sale publically in a few hours so any pictures now wouldn't count.

Nice try.

Doesn't prove anything. No biggie. I recently quit WoW but bought the collectors set of WoTLK just to match up with my other collectors boxes.

I think my collectors edition will be here tonight or tomorrow I can't wait.

EDIT: I just checked online they just shipped it. With one day shipping it will get here tomorrow. I envy you guys who are getting it tonight even though I couldn't play even if I wanted to.

I just picked up my copy tonight. I finished installing it. Picked it up at Gamestop from the midnight release. I have never been this excited for a game ever.
:)

So what I was trying to say was true, you would still have to wait till it went live to play it even if you had it sitting on your desk two weeks or two months prior.

Though this all means nothing now to those that are able to get it. many happy hours of questing and grinding to all that are able to play.
