Would a 15" fit into a 12"?

Would the internals of the 15" MBP fit inside a 12" case? Are the internals of the powerbooks completly different, so they could fit it in there..

Umm.. I'm guessing no since things that are 15" don't fit into 12" things very well, with the 3" of extra computer and all.

I could be wrong though.

i believe the logic board (the main piece to which everything is attached) is the width/depth of the computer with different pieces either soldered to it or placed in where they fit (socketed). therefore, it would impossible to fit the innards of a 15" MBP into a 12" case.

Not gonna happen. The machines are set up too differently.

You might be able to get it into a 17" case though...

Not to mention the heat issue.

The MBP doesn't need more heat issues.
