i currently have a Expensive gaming pc, that i want change for a mac, i want to move away from gaming a bit., i need a Mac that will power though the uses below:
Light-room 2
Photoshop CS3
Dreamweaver
MSN
Safari
Itunes

these will be used all at the same time so would a imac be sufficient?

1. i would like the Neatness of the IMac
2. Is the IMac using i7 yet?
3. i was considering a Mac Pro as i have 2 24" monitors (IPS Panel) already would i really need it?

i currently using a PC i7 @ 3.6ghz 6GB DDR3 Ram 280GTX SSOC SLI

The iMac uses mobile processors and doesn't boast the i7's yet.

Too match (and surpass) the power your PC has you'll need a Mac Pro.

Having said that, a top of the line iMac will be cheaper and still confidently handle all that you've described.

It really comes down to having the money and space for a Mac Pro. If so, then you might as well buy it. You will definitely benefit from increased speed over the iMac.

The Mac Pro will also serve you for many more years as you upgrade your software. You will also have the added benefit of being able to upgrade and swap monitors.

Go with the mac pro so that you can make full use of your existing displays.

The mac pro also leaves room for expansion, which given your current PC seems like something you will likely want to be able to do down the road.

Actually for what you need it for and considering you got a nice display already, I would buy the highest end mac mini. Just my 2¢. If not, the iMac. Mac pro seems just overkill for photoshop and msn...
