The Asus XG Station is an external graphics solution for laptops that plugs into laptops PCI E slot and then can be used to power an external display. It will be shipping in the next month for about $600 and will come with a Asus 7900GS (although engadget reported that it is easily upgradable to any PCI E card, however the 8800 cards will not work because they are too long for the casing).
My question is, would it make sense for someone with a MBP to purchase this solution if they want to game (in windows) and they want to use their MBP to do it. Of course a MBP has dedicated graphics, so would this be a big enough improvement?
