We all know features from one product inspire innovations in other lineups..

.. that being said I love the Siri Watch Face so much that I’d probably have it on my phone too. Hell, it could even replace my home screen. (Apps on 2nd page)

I love the whole interactiveness and dynamics of it all. In iOS the “Siri UI” could even have a deeper integration with the ever-broken-notification-center and (replacement?)

  1. Do you think it would be a natural next step?
  2. Do you think Apple is already working on something like this?
  3. Any mockups out there?
  4. If you don’t think it will happen why is that?

I don't think it's gonna happen as it'll be a major redesign of iOS. Unfortunately, Apple tends to stick to their initial concepts of a given product. Which is kinda bad, because what was fine 10 years ago can be dramatically improved, so it'll be more suitable for today's people's needs.

Alright, I get ya, but one can always dream. They will have to innovate one day.

But I fail to see (from your answer) why you wouldnt see it as a welcome change (poll)?

I just said that I don't think it's gonna happen, not that it wouldn't be a welcome change.

Hope not - what works for a watch doesn't work for bigger devices.

They could implement it if they make the changes needed so it can work on a bigger screen. It could be far more convenient than Siri or macOS, for example.
I decided not to install watchOS 4 Beta on my Apple Watch, so I cannot test the Siri watch face now and I don't know if it's beneficial, but the general idea seems to be okay.

The issue I see is that the Siri watch face makes sense on a screen on your wrist that you can easily and discreetly view at any time. Which is critical as it involves pushing you time-sensitive information that often require you to act on it there and now. Eg: time to stand up. Time to take a breather. Time to leave now for that doctor's appointment if you want to beat the heavy traffic. Remember to take your meds. Time to take a drink of water etc. Miss it and the info is much less useful afterwards.

I feel it makes less sense on a smartphone where it's not uncommon for notifications to bunch up over time and you may not always be in a position to view, much less respond to each individual notification as they come. I guess it could be done, I just don't think it belongs on a phone.

I’d welcome something like that. I’ve always wanted a more active / dynamic lock screen (or even 1st home screen). Quite excited that it’s coming to watchOS at least.
