would be nice if Apple cleaned up their act:

i got burned with my 2017 MBP:(, it was expen$ive
had to endure a year+ of the new unit actually a little dangerous (never knowing what comes off the KB).
like the straps falling off a new Gucci hand bag... co-workers making jokes of my technology choices.

by the way, have you noticed this:
there is a whole industry that comes out of the woodwork to thumb DOWN every new apple product release
next, a round of pro apple trolls to thump UP the new release
than the class action court cases spring up
than apple throws a bone to the loyal customers
MAGIC, the lawyers go away too !
the product goes into closet.

i really looked around macrumors.com where to place this post.

Yes
Sorry Plett. It's hard being the son of an engineer:
Form is nice, but function is essential.
Things should be built to a spec to handle events that exceed normal stresses.

"Some of your iPads may arrive slightly warped" translates to "We failed".

How dare you! WE are so lucky to have these amazing products regardless of their shoddy workmanship!

lol

ok,,, but what about something we "can't" control. ? Exchange rate,, VAT etc... GST over here in Australia. It only "seems" high because of the quality of components.

I would love to see that Apple rethink the high priced products, I'm getting to the point where it makes little sense to plunk down over a grand for a phone that used to be cost me 200 dollars on subsidy
