Hey again everyone !!! I was just wondering would it be safe to buy an iMac online through Ebay. Has anyone bought there iMac on Ebay before and had the same high quality like the Apple Store.

I bought an iMac on eBay several years ago. It was about a year old, though, so it wasn't like buying through the Apple Store. It was fine, and the transaction and product were perfect, but, like all things eBay, it depends on the parties involved.

Nowadays, if I were in the market for a used Mac, I'd look on craigslist first, MacRumors second (only because craigslist is local). Why deal with eBay's shipping, fees, potentially shady members, etc. if you don't have to?

Anyway, good luck. :)

Same high quality as a new one from Apple? NIB means different things to different people on eBay. Considering the amount of cash involved and the relatively small savings it would be better bet to buy from Apple.

Once in a while a deal shows up, but their is plenty of risk.

I wouldn't buy a new machine from eBay, but for an old one sure. The risk involved with that kind of money IMO is not worth it. If you decided to go with eBay, remember that if it seems to good to be true it is.
