...of an intel one? Here's my scenario:

I have a c2d mac mini (on 1st tv) serving up an appletv (on 2nd tv) with all my media. I have 3 tv's, and want a mac mini on the 3rd one so i can ditch cable altogether, and it would be used to watch online tv, and stream from the other mini as well. I prolly wouldn't store any media on the other mac mini. Is there any reason why a PowerPC mac mini wouldn't be able to do this? Is there something i'm missing? PPC minis are so much cheaper, but I wouldn't want to get one and find out I can't use it for everything i want to.

It probably depends on the bitrate and characteristics of the video... IIRC, 720p is about as far as the Mini can really be pushed... for instance:

And then the obvious point that one is probably not going to want to run Leopard and really cannot run Windows in any useful way on it.

Not looking to run windows in any way, shape or form. Gotta run windows on the other mini for DVR purposes (and no, don't bother mentioning eyetv). I don't own anything above 720p, everything i currently have is a dvdrip and in appletv format w/h264, i think i have handbrake set to 2.5mbps, i'm assuming all of that would play on a PPC.

Why would i not want to run leopard on a PPC??

And are there any websites i would have trouble with? Mainly those sites like fox, abc,nbc, etc that offer online episodes.

EDIT: ok just read that link. it really isn't clear on 720p performance though. I have no plans for 1080p, since I can't even tell the difference between 720 and 1080. (not that there isn't a difference, just that it's not discernable to me)
