U useme2305 macrumors member Oct 12, 2011 73 14 Oct 23, 2012 #3 well, the server version of the 2011 mini has 7200rpm HDDs. the thing is i think apple stayed away from them in the standard minis so far is noise. the 7200rpm HDDs are just not quiet enough for the non-server models.
