iPad mini Would the iPad mini be better running iOS15?

Crazy question, but wondering if you think it would be better to run iOS vs iPadOS15. Or maybe that's not right but does it need a more optimized version of iPadOS for it?

They're pretty much the same from what I see, though I think there are supposed to be some minor UI differences.

I think it would add an additional column of apps to the Home Screen which would be handy I suppose.
