I currently am looking at a MacBook. I don't know if I should buy it or not, I have used other Apple devices but never a MacBook. My main purposes for using it is communicating and digital art. Would it be a good purchase?

For digital art I would go with at least a 2012 13" MacBook Pro with an i5. Another thing is most art programs to update properly would need a newer OS and that one is stuck on MacOS 10.11.
