If I setup my new iPhone using the side by side activation - would that be considered setting up the new device with a clean install?

Or does it not count as a clean install? Trying to find the easiest way to do it without having to re-setup everything.

I know how to do a clean install...I’m wondering if I set it up next to another device (to transfer the settings) if that still makes it a clean install or if it’s not considered “clean” anymore.

Oh.The topic was misleading. Sorry.

If you want a "clean" install you're gonna have to setup all the Settings manually.

I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve, but to me, a REAL clean install is restoring with iTunes and setting up as new. Then you can adjust your settings manually.

Thanks for your feedback, that makes sense. Appreciate the help.
