Okay So I'm browsing the http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.8.3/Portables
And there are a bunch of Brands and Models. There are green check marks beside all of them, but nothing else. Does that mean all portables of that brand work with OSX?

No, it just means, that they are compatible with a 64-bit OS due to using a 64-bit CPU. Nothing more, as the list you linked to is quite empty, understandable, as 10.8.3 has just been released this week. You will have more luck finding models that run 10.8.2, as that has been out for ages.

Its hardware is certainly capable. And it looks like hardware that would generally be compatible without many issues anyways. Installing OS X onto non-Apple hardware isn't exactly trivial, but there's plenty of guides out there, and the resources that simsaladimbamba posted.
