Would this strap be compatible?

Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing this strap in 22mm lug width for my 38mm SS apple watch http://www.basandlokes.com/felix-brown-handmade-leather-watch-strap/

Does anyone see any issues with it not fitting? I was going to get an adapter from ebay to connect it.

Awesome choice in a watch strap. That'll look killer!

Assuming this is a direct ripoff of the Classic Buckle adapter, it should work... On the Classic Buckle, the widest part of the strap is 21.2mm. There's about a mm of play when you move it from side to side, so an extra millimeter isn't going to prevent it from fitting, but a 21mm band might look a bit cleaner. I personally like a bit of the lug to be showing on each side, but not so much that the watch moves around freely on the adapter.

If it were me, I'd go with the 21mm. It's closer to Apple's specs. But a 22mm should work too. It just might look a tad crowded. But it all depends on how these adapters are built. I have one on the way too. I guess we'll see.

Ended up going with it in a 20mm width so it'll be fine. I'll take the adapters off the Classic buckle that came with the watch. Just need to get a screwdriver and it should be good to go!
