Would this video card work?

Would this card work as a replacement card (OOB)for the "HD 2600 XT 256 MB" card that is in my MacPro3,1?
Please keep in mind that my needs are modest and the existing HD 2600 XT 256 MB has served me well.

that card wont work OOB in your Mac Pro sadly.

is boot screens a requirement on this machine or are you ok without them?

if you dont require boot screens then any GeForce 8xxx or higher card should work in your MP out of the box, Maxwell and up cards will require web drivers however

you can however buy that card and flash it with the ATI Radeon 2600 XT Mac ROM and it will then work in your Mac Pro (with boot screens), however it might require soldering on a larger EEPROM onto the card to hold the bigger Mac ROM, which May be out of the realm of possibilities for some people
