in the top left corner (somewhere where the SMS icon is)? just wondering!

1st one had the battery drop out twice (without resetting working) in the middle of the charge, a scratched up right side on the plastic, and a light leak gap on the left.

my second one is perfect in every way except an obvious dead pixel (white on black might just be stuck, but either way it is not moving), and several far duller ones that are only noticable if u crank the backlight with a black background (just since I was curious to begin with and now that my eyes look for it, i can see it on less than dim settings).

Just wondering... thanks!

if apple is willing to exchange it then I would. Even if it's isn't that noticeable, just knowing it's there makes it seem a lot more obvious than it is.

well in addition the main reason im swapping it is because i cant really get service. it seems to say No service more than it should without turning airplane on and off or powering the phone off then rebooting. i'm beginning to think the antenna is all messed up on it...

I just exchanged my iPhone 3G because of a dead pixel, and the new one has a dead pixel in the EXACT SAME PLACE!!!

Because of the high resolution you don't see it unless you look for it, I'm not sure if I can be bothered to replace it, again!

They need better quality control at the production line!

Well if apple is willing to do it then you might as well get a perfect iphone rather than one with a flaw. You're expected to keep the phone for the life of the 2 year contract and it is a lot more likely they'll exchange it for you now than they would later on if any other problems come up. Plus you'll have that peace of mind from other problems like reception that you may be noticing with the phone you have now.

Apple Policy: If its more than five dead/hot/stuck pixels, they'll replace it... no questions asked!
If its less... you might have to fight for it and also accept a defeat!

Hope that helps!

hmmm i dunno. there is one really obvious one and several other very dimly lit ones that u can only see if you're REALLY looking for them.
