Would you be interested in an Apple Game console?

This is just out there and for fun but I would be interested if Apple got into the game console war. With the PS4 and One coming out if would just be interesting what Apple could come out with.

What would you name it? What would you expect from Apple in a parallel universe?

I'd call it AppleTV, or maybe TV, and it would run a lot of the games from the app store that already run on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

That would be a pretty laughable games console. Maybe as laughable as this was...

I wouldn't mind an Apple console, but personally I don't care who makes the console, for me and a lot of others its about the games, hence the developers. Most games out now just plain suck and have turned me off gaming for years now. Nintendo seems to be only one of the few good original developers out there who actually care about gameplay rather than following the masses down the pointless road of graphics make the game mantra.

In short we don't need new consoles, we need new developers.

I don't see a space in the console market for Apple, the Playstation and XBOX already both offer pretty much the perfect console gaming experience. At a very good price.

Even the nearly 10 year old PS3 and XBOX 360 still blow iOS devices out of the water in gameplay and graphics.
