The answer is simply no assuming the X+ is larger. But I don't care for the X either. Currently nothing in the lineup is worth upgrading of my 6S/SE.

No. It’s hard enough to get me to swallow the $1000 X. I do want an X+ though.

If I am gonna spend €1400/€1500 on a smartphone, I think my wife is sending me to a shrink for at least 3 consulting appointments

(and I wouldn't blame here) ;)

Would you spend €300 for a pocket camera? And €10 for a pocket torch? And €10 for a portable calculator? And €300 for a portable video player? And €300 for a portable computer? And €200 for a portable navigation system? And €200 for a portable phone? You see where I am going...

True, you can get something similar with a lot less than €1400 (android). But that's an entirely different discussion.

What I am trying to say is that we use our 'phones' for literally everything, every time, every day. The cost per minute of use of these things must be so tiny compared to that of a car, a laptop or even a fridge!

Not trying to decent Apple, just tying to do some basic maths. Plenty of alternatives with android for a lot less than an iPhone X Plus though. Will it be the same? No, clearly. Similar? Yes, of course.

What if they included AirPods and AirPower.
They won’t, Apple is so cheap they won’t even give a fast charger in the box of a $1000 phone...

If it has a notch, no. If it does not have a notch, yes.
It definitely will. Your gonna be looking at a notch or some sort of camera and speaker cutouts for atleast another 4-5 years. I have the x and don’t even notice the notch most of the time.

Then so be it. I'll use my 8+ that long, or any follow-up non-notch models with a large screen that Apple offers. However, you're probably wrong.

Do you really think there gonna be able to put a camera and speaker under the display where you can’t see them within 3-4 years?? We’re talking about Apple here that kept literally the same design for the 6, 6s, 7 and 8...

At this point, it's almost guaranteed that a 6.5 iPhone X Plus is on the verge in 2018 being
Offered next to the 5.8 iPhone X. That's what I'm looking for.

Most of the iPhones all do the same thing and have the same operating system, the big difference with the iPhone X besides Face ID is gesture controls. That offers an entirely new experience, but does have a learning curve attached.

I'm extremely interested in an X Plus but don't think it will be $1,250. Apple is bound to correct the price on the X next year as the high price coupled with marginal improvement over previous models, is affecting the success of the phone.

If it's just bigger then no. I'm really happy with the current X size coming from a 7+ so it would have to be something special to make me change to the plus again.

Apple will likely give a lot of exclusive features to X Plus for differentiation.

If I wanted that feature set, then sure I would. But I don’t personally want a bigger phone than the X.

The issue with price is, I use my phone 10-20 times more in any given time than my $4500 MBP. To me the price is relatively inconsequential given the utility.

They’re tools in a toolbox for me, and each is well used.

Bigger doesn’t always mean better. I have gotten a larger phone every year since the original Note but with the release of the X I finally found where increased size ceases to be a positive. The full power of a top of the line flagship with a huge screen in perfect hand held dimensions overall. This is the sweet spot so no, I would not pay one red cent more for a larger phone.

Honestly, I think it’s more about Apple wanting the mainstream population to charge at low speed to save the battery from accelerated degradation. It’s still sucks but that’s my hypothetical reasoning. Apple could bundle a car with the iPhone if it wants, you just wouldn’t like the price .

My s7 edge with fast charging killed it’s battery in 1 year 3 months. I threw it aside and got a pixel and forgot about it till these new rumors about batteries came up. That when I realized that the Samsung phone randomly shutting off might be a battery issue and not something much worse.

So, I decided to swap it and then realized what a nightmare it was to diy it. So option 2 was to send it to Samsung which I didn’t want. I got it swapped for $40 at a mall kiosk and it’s working perfectly.

Also, fast charged my iPhone 7 for its entire life. It was also shutting off at 20% before I upgraded to the X. Obviously Genius Bar c**** wouldn’t agree till I ran geekbench and it kept shutting off like a b****. It only lasted 11 months.

Fast charging is nice but detrimental to battery life for sure.

I don’t like the way these new phones are going. There just not wide enough for me. I like the width of the plus models

In a perfect world Apple will release a plus version to go along with the original X and reduce the price.

Where is here?

Interesting but whatever works. I could never go back to a small phone by choice.
I resisted the Plus for a while thinking it was just too big for me. Now I’ve had a 7 and an 8 Plus. I would never go back. Wasn’t interested in an X as it is currently. If there is to be a plus version, I’ll be there.

If there is an improved Face ID sensor in the iPhone X plus, then yes. But if it’s the same crap Face ID is sensor then no.

I do agree with that cause my s7 was **** to from fast charging.

Price will be determined by features. . Without knowing what kind of bells and whistles Apple has in mind for 2018 its hard to say .

Price will be determined by features. .

This is usually Apples method. Especially with the larger Plus versions of the iPhones, they tend to add more specific features to the larger iPhones that cost more. For example, the dual camera, larger battery, 1080 P display, etc. Those are all things that Apple wants to advocate for somebody to purchase the more expensive larger iPhone.
