Simple as that. You wanna know about this Powerbook? Having this computer will get you many women. Seriously. And not the cheerleader "I want a 2 year commitment and $30/month data plan" girls who nag you every second of the day. The super hot scene and indie girls. You know the kind. You hate the music they listen to, but with such tight clothes you can't help but admire the body. I mean damn. Anyway, I was at a coffee shop the other day, just browsing the internetz, drinking a soy mocha latte, looking cool, when all of a sudden this cute girl in skinny jeans and a plaid shirt came up to me and started talking about Apple computers. Got her number, haven't called her back. Maybe I'll throw it in with the computer to sweeten the deal. Anyhoo, you wanna fit into the mobile Apple scene, you'll find no simpler way. Sure, it's an older computer but come on, it's still a Mac and you can still haul it to Starbuck's or one of those "indie" coffee places to get some attention. It even has Logic Pro installed, so you can tell the girls how great of a musician you are. I'll even write you a cheesy song about how you and another girl's shoes match so you belong together. Isn't that what indie bands sing about?
Really, though, I am a musician and this computer is just getting a bit old for me. It may seem self defeating, admitting that in the post in which I am trying to get rid of it, but hear me out. I am self employed, recording people's bands and solo artists for money. It brings a fairly nice wad in every month, but I want to be able to expand and maybe set up a studio, and I can't do that with this computer. I tend to overproduce my own music and the music that I record, and it tends to cripple the computer as it goes on. That does not at all mean that it is a slow computer. If it were a tiny bit faster, I'd hold on to it for the rest of my life, but it's just becoming a hinderance now. It'd be great for musicians learning, or those who don't put far too many effects on their tracks. It's a great computer, just isn't suiting my needs anymore.
I am looking for an iMac. 20" or larger but I am flexible. Intel is a must. Everything else is ancillary. I can upgrade RAM and the hard drive myself.
Specs: 15" Powerbook G4. 1.67GHz G4 Processor, 2GB of RAM, 150GB HDD. The trackpad fails intermittently, but everyone I've spoken to hates using the trackpad, so I'll throw in a wired mighty mouse (paid $50) with it. If you're nice enough I may even throw in the Magic Mouse (paid $70) instead. I will also throw in a 2-in 8-out firewire audio interface (paid $100) to sweeten the deal.
I wouldn't offer if I didn't think it was worth it, for real. I'm in no desire to scam people. I'll let you use the computer to test it out. I'll even show you some music projects so you can see how well it does.
Email me and we'll chat. I'm open to offers, including cash, iPads, chinese food, hugs, and Macbooks. I am cool with bartering, too. And ladies, you know you want me.
