I'm curious if others did. I think it gets a one year regardless?

Thanks.

Every iPod comes with a one year warranty and "complimentary single-incident telephone technical support within 90 days from the date of purchase." Link. And the cost is $39.

You won't need the phone call, because you have us. ;) So, $39 essentially gives you the assurance that you iPod will last two years instead of one (which, don't get me wrong, it probably will anyway). Is that worth it to you? Also, remember that AppleCare does not cover accidental or liquid damage, and that either might void your coverage (i.e. if it's covered in scratches or dents, the warranty may not be honored).

I still have my G3 iPod and Apple cover wasn't purchased for it.... I still would be using it if I didn't update to a iPod classic two years ago.
