Okay, so by now we've all heard that these is mounting evidence of a possible Verizon iPhone in 2010.

That said, I know I would personally switch to Verizon if the iPhone were the same.

BUT

We have also heard that the iPhone going to Verizon may be a 2.8" in contrast to the 3.5" we have now with AT&T, which brings me to my question ( and Poll )

Would you switch to Verizon for the "Verizon iPhone" even if it were a smaller 2.8"? I know my answer is a strong, No. ( For now )

God no. No exceptions.

Besides, it makes no sense to create a 2.8" iPhone, unless they were all going 2.8" including the iPod Touch, and perhaps creating a whole new larger iPhone.

No, not even with a full size iphone. But I do hope verizon gets the iphone 1) because it will ease the strain on ATT's network when some people leave, and 2) people will stop talking about it!

I think it would be hilarious if Sprint finds a way to get the CDMA/world version of the next iPhone (over Verizon, not in addition too).

I wonder if people would still switch.

I might . . . $99/mo. for unlimited EVERYTHING seems like a good deal to me! :D

I'd get a smaller iPhone for sure. I don't know anything about Verizon or why its using such strange tech but I'd certainly buy a smaller (and potentially cheaper) iPhone.

I've detailed the reasons why a Verizon iPhone is likely, but a smaller screen doesn't fit Apple.

Apple likes consistency across the platform allowing them to advertise a large install base for developers so a smaller screen makes no sense.

Note: The internals of the 3GS were upgraded, but it is backwards compatible with older phones allowing the same type of large install base unless a developer wants to only target newer devices with more advanced graphics.

The iPhone will be coming to more carriers in the US. It is only a matter of time.

Why? Billions of dollars in revenue from 4 countries with over 100+ million potential buyers.

They actually have a $69 plan now that includes unlimited internet, text and calls to all cell phones ( any carrier ). Plus, 450 minutes to landlines. Seems pretty great to me.

No. In fact they need to keep the exterior dimensions the same as they are now, and reduce the unused area on the face - make the screen bigger, not smaller. Bring it right out to the edges, or as close as technology allows.

Even better! Screw the Verizon rumors, let's start Sprint ones! :D

I am sure Steve and Co. regularly check sites like this for ideas on what Apple should do next, so we should see a Sprint 4G iPhone anytime now . . . right?

Wth

Where you guys come up with this stuff brain storming at the bar? The only reason I like iPhone to go to Verizon is then we will see people complain about the Jesus Company. As far as if and how I think when the time come Apple will anounce it. Wait what if they only give Verizon people a 2" screen.

You are the off-topic king.

Exactly, after looking at the Motorola Droid, you realize how much space isn't be used on the iPhone. I want a bigger screen!!

I dropped Verizon for AT&T before the iPhone. No way am I going back to their spotty coverage and arrogant customer service. If Apple were to move the entire iPhone platform over to them I would switch to another device on the AT&T network.

It wouldn't be just the Verizon iPhones with a smaller screen right? All iPhones would have the smaller screens and be capable to run on AT&T as well as Verizon. Isn't that the rumor?
