This is kind of a stupid post but I thought it was funny so Id share. A few weeks ago I sent a question to apple asking if they sold the iPhone SDK on dvd. Read the response. (Below is the original email)

Re: iDVD SDK

Hello Scott,

Thank you for contacting the Apple Developer Connection requesting an iDVD SDK.

Apple does not currently offer an SDK or developer documentation for iDVD that would allow developers to create themes for use with iDVD.

We thank you for your interest in iDVD. I hope that the above information is of help to you. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

I was wondering if there is any way to buy a DVD from Apple that includes the iPhone SDK?

The reason I ask is I work in a remote area of the world and my only internet access is through work and we are not allowed to download much.

What, does Apple outsource all their email correspondence to India as well now? :p

But seriously, I'm surprised that a question about 'iPhone SDK DVD' turned into 'iDVD SDK', with absolutely zero mention of the iPhone in their reply. That's just odd and makes me wonder how much Apple actually pays attention to customers...

lol ... hey, they were close. they got "dvd" right and "sdk" :D
I'd say: try again, make yourself more clear. but I never heard that they sold dvds with the SDK, so I guess you already have your answer.
weren't you the fella in iraq? maybe someone at home can download and send it to you, I guess you get frequent mail over there, don't you?

Yep that was me :)

I talked my mom through how to download it and burn it to dvd over the phone and she mailed it out. (For some reason this took 10 minutes to explain how to burn a dvd, yet she set up wireless printing by herself???? Odd...)

It should be here in about 10 days :D I cant wait. I've already read my objective C and cocoa books and iPhone SDK book several times.

For as long as it takes these emails to come back youd at least expect them to come back with some type of competancy.
