In the Summer I had some problems with my sister's iPod Touch. I called Apple and they replaced it without questions ... and it was out of warranty. Wow, I thought.

Second experience today, with my problem with my MacBook detailed here. Got a nice guy from Ontario help me through my problems, and wow, WOW, he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. It wasn't like a Sony drone or other customer support I've dealt with, this guy joked around, asked how I was doing, told me he was jealous jokingly as he still had a whitebook, and was fun to talk to - FUN - technical support - FUN! Hard to believe.

Anyway, just thought I'd post my excellent experience in case anyone cares, or Apple sees this and promotes the guy talking to a Nova Scotian at 7:50pm. :p

I'm not sure if he fixed it, as the problems were sporatic WiFi troubles and kernal panics, but even if he wasn't, I'll be glad to call them back and request help again, the nice guy went out of his way to help my problem, and I couldn't be more impressed.

I'm glad to hear this as I just bought AppleCare for my white MacBook. I already had to replace the keyboard and the Combo Drive and it was a very painless experience. Also, my wife's iPhone broke (the ringer switch) and in less than 10 minutes we were out the door with a brand new phone.

That's the whole reason that I'm switching to a Mac. Just for the fact that I can speak with someone that shares a common first language is enough for me.:p
