Hi guys,

Just started playing wow again. I have a 20" imac 2.16 c2d with the x1600 graphics card and 2gb of ram. In wow I get a framerate of a pretty solid 20 sometimes 30 when i got to inns but never above. This shouldn't be so should it ?

I am running with all the settings highest but turning to default olny gives me about 28 fps.

Am i right in thinking i should be achiving much higher framerates than this?

What framerates are you guys getting?

Does anybody know why mine is so low?

Is this normal ?!?!

Thanks wattso

Thanks for the reply. Same-ish framerate, around 24 -26, but I cant stand the tearing with v-sync disabled. I am beginning to get worried now, surely it should be way higher than this?

Regards

OK, with manually turning off all the shaders, setting everything to lowest and turning off v-sync i get 50 - 60 fps.

Please help guys. I was expecting to get this with everything maxed. I mean afterall this computer is a beast!

Lower Anistropic filtering and turn off Full Screen Glow, and keep viewing distance at halv and you should get good numbers. I do atleast get above 30 FPS everywhere and 100 fps in "old wow" with a 2.2 GHz with 8600MGT card.

The x1600 card isn't a beast and with the 1650x1050 res you will push the x1600 really hard.

Thank you! I get an fps of 30 - 60 now and I cannot notice much difference in graphical quality. But most of all you have reassured me that it is normal and that i have unrealistic expectations.

Thanks again.
